U.S. MILITARY POSTURE
11 THINGS THAT WE COULD DO NOW TO IMPROVE THE UNITED STATES
I just finished watching a Mel Gibson movie entitled We Were Soldiers which brought home to me once again the horror and futility of the war in Viet Nahm and war in general and more particularly the posture that my country, The United States of America has assumed in the wars conducted on this planet. Certain truth’s have made themselves apparent to me and I shall enumerate them here. They are not, I repeat not politically correct. They fly in the face of the collective wisdom of the leaders of this nation in my lifetime and before. These opinions were first expressed by President James Monroe but abandoned after the presidency of Theodore Roosevelt.
1. The vital interest of The United States of America ends at our 200 mile limit.
2. We should have only a state militia that can be called upon to defend the continental United States and United States Territories if and only if we are attacked by a foreign advisory.
3. We should de-commission all carriers but maintain U.S. Air Force bases so that they are available to protect all U.S. soil.
4. We should charge full force at development of defense technology that would protect U.S. Soil from any foreign attack. That is to say star wars technology, anti missal missals. Develop an invincible shield that could stop any incoming from anywhere.
5. Develop our own offensive weapons, possibly space based that could completely annihilate any spot on the earth up to the size of Texas within one hour. And any ten areas that size within one and a half hours.
6. Resign from the United Nations and in our farewell address let them know what is in store for any country foolish enough to attack the United States. Close all American Embassies worldwide. Bring home all American Forces stationed outside the United States or it’s territories.
7. Severely limit access to this country from foreigners. Require at least one year wait after approval to visit the United States and then allow in only those whose presence here is absolutely essential to the survival of the United States. All those entering this country will do so clad only in a tight fitting bikini type swim wear and carry no baggage whatsoever.
8. Make illegal presence in the United States subject to severe penalty.
9. Limit imports to items essential to the United States that can not be produced in the United States. Keeping in mind that you can convert coal to gasoline and the United States has the largest coal reserves on earth. As it turns out the United States also has 1.5 TRILLION barrels of recoverable oil in Colorado, Montana, North and South Dakota. There is some drilling going on now in these states but there should be a lot more. We have more recoverable oil reserves than the whold middle east.
10. Allow anyone who wants to leave to first renounce their United States citizenship and leave but to never return under any circumstance.
11. The prime directive shall be: “Stay out of the affairs of foreign governments.” This is absolute, no exception.
12. Invite like minded countries to join the United States as part of this country. Likely candidates might be England, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, North Ireland, Belize and Mexico, there might be others in the future.
Ask yourself , how much better off we would be if these 11 rules were put into place. Many of the things that we import are things we have here in the United States but it is presently cheaper to import them than to rely on our own resources. We could even supply our own bananas grown on such U.S. territories as American Samoa, Puerto Rico, the American Virgin Islands and American Samoa. We could become pretty much self sufficient if we put our minds to it.
